14th Annual AJR Tournament
July 15-19, 2020

This tournament is a memorial to Alex John Richardson, and is one of Lake County's longest running tournaments.  His energy and love of the game is what this is all about.  Alex tragically lost his life in a snowmobile accident on January 21, 2007.  The picture on left is from his Freshman year playing at Grayslake Central High School.  The picture shown below of Alex on right was taken at the Daily Herald Banquet right before the tragedy as he earned Athlete of the Week Award for Football.

Children that may not get a chance to play at the travel level get to participate, be competitive, but most of all have fun.  This is how Alex would have liked it.

During this tournament, players will be awarded the Heart of the Champions medallion and be able to hear about Alex.

This tournament is open to In-house allstar teams only. No full time travel teams will be allowed to participate.
